OTTAWA – Ottawa Glandorf standout Kadie Hempfling announced this afternoon that she has made her choice on where she will play college basketball. Hempfling will take on the next level as a member of the Bowling Green State University Falcons Women’s Basketball squad.
Coming off a Junior campaign where she helped lead the Titans to a third straight trip to Columbus and a 27-1 season record the future Falcon will be a big piece of the defending WBL Champions squad as they look to make another deep run this season.
During her third season under Troy Yant, Hempfling not only tossed in a triple-double, but also finished with a total 348 points, 162 assists, 115 steals, and 207 rebounds. The 162 assists finished her season with the second highest single season total in school history, while her 115 thefts are the single season record for any player in one year at the school. As a Sophomore Hempfling snagged 73 steals which also puts her in the top ten for one single campaign at OG.
Going into her final year of her prep career the Titan All-Ohio selection and two-time reigning WBL Player of the Year will begin with 822 career points and look to become just the fourth Lady Titan to reach the 1,000 point mark at Ottawa Glandorf. With 63 assists on the season she will also become the all-time OG leader and surpass Michelle Bockrath who set the record in 1996.

Last season the Falcons finished their season at 8-23 overall, and 4-14 in the MAC. This season BGSU will feature a roster with just a pair of Seniors on it including former Liberty Benton standout Rachel Myers and will kick off their 2017-18 campaign at home on November 5th as they welcome Seton Hill to the Stroh Center.
